This starter home was made by Deligracy, it looked cabin enough to me. I am playing with it unfurnished to play within the starting 20k, and only bought furniture for Tyrian I could afford with the remainder simoleons I had.
The rules say the founder’s house needs to be a cabin or trailer. I’m not sure if that is a specific lot type but a starter home shouldn’t affect much I don’t think.
The rules also say this generation’s colour is orange, but Tyrian will ALWAYS be from the violet generation in my eyes.
Tyrian: What the hell is this? I cannot recall any plant that looked this strange growing on the Grauerwolfe estate, and my father and sister maintained an orchard of plasma fruit trees.

All Tyrian wants to do is evade the very traumatising social situation but he can’t leave the lot.
Spook: This fridge is contaminated, we must confiscate it.
He can’t leave the lot because the men in black won’t let him leave while being investigated. A very tense first day for Tyrian.
Once he is allowed to leave he heads to the library to gather his composure, as he does NOT feel safe at home. Thankfully there were no possessed sims around, but he did happen across the Curio Shop.
Tyrian: You look like you have your wits about you! What in earth is going on around here?
Erwin Pries: Aliens. Or the secret lab. But, probably aliens.
Erwin nods sagely. Tyrian isn’t so sure about aliens, but a lab? He’s (about to be) a scientist! He can check it out before he has to start work tomorrow.
With nothing else left to do, Tyrian goes home to get his breakfast ready for tomorrow.
Tyrian: Agh! I’m no good at this. I remember being better.
So that’s a wrap for the intro chapter. I’m really excited to get to the the StrangerVille content (coincidently I’m also watching Stranger Things at the same time) and I’m very excited to get to the next generation, Aliens.
Parting shot: Tyrian scouting the Secret Lab before work with facial hair he grew himself. That is a new sims feature to me!

I hope Tyrian leverages his acquaintance with Jess Sigworth into a hot affair with Dylan Sigworth! I’ll be damned if there are any other ways to play a Strangerville startup without that course of action.
For me it’s weird having a totally accepting attitude towards facial and body hair in real life but freaking out the minute a Sim grows a single whisker! Does this mean all the townie male Sims are going to start sprouting forth tufts luscious dwarvish beardedness growing longer whenever you leave the house?
What will this mean for my thousands of beautiful 5 o’clock shadow CCs? And will elder women also grow a tiny beard or fine moustache? Maybe adult Sim women with a single hair on their chin they have to pluck out every season?
LOL. This is like Tyrian from a new dimension, the same yet different. I had to delete all his skills and he has new traits. Cool enough, he constantly wanted to change his traits to insider and good when I was playing but I’m not allowed to let him.
The only thing I kept that I shouldn’t have was the childhood traits he earned while growing up in the previous legacy, because dammit he earned them
Also the facial hair thing is so new to me, I’m not sure the implications on npc and their hair growth. Maybe it can be disabled in a setting somewhere if you don’t like it?
I’m really on the fence. Shaving everyday for male sims you want to keep clean might be realistic, but its just inserting in another time consuming task in to the game which isn’t really want going to be desired – if I make a clean shaven sim from the start its because, I want him to be clean shaven all the time. Hair maintenance is a pia in real life, why do I want to play with that in a game used to escape rl. I feel the same way about the laundry pack.
